(Poem written by Soumya Ray)

That feminine beautiful night

Scattering the sweet fragrance

Intoxicating the passerby

Attracting the fireflies towards that brightly lit face

Why, but why does the light attract that darkness?

That darkness which consumes it completely

That darkness in which it subsides

That darkness from which it cannot rise

And now, and now

That feminine night has turned into a patriarchal night

That brightly lit face is now dark

It has been turned blue and black

The deepness of that darkness is way darker than the eye sight

The violent power has overturned that power of brightness

But hope, there is still hope

Like the silver lining which peaks from behind that dark cloud

And we hope that guiding light will enlighten us once more.
